Sacrifice is to surrender or give up for the sake of something or someone else. This quote explains this meaning well. If you are willing to do anything to achieve something, you are willing to sacrifice everything else for it. Sacrifice has a significant meaning when it comes to love. If you love something or someone enough, you would sacrifice your life for that one thing.

A selfish person is devoted to oneself. Being selfish is simple. With being selfish comes only caring for one person, and putting you before everyone else. Its sacrifice that's hard. This quote explains that with selfishness, sacrifice is not needed. If you care for no more than one person or one thing, there is no need to sacrifice because you having nothing to love more than yourself and therefore nothing to sacrifice your life for.
